At Thirty Three Dental Dr. Samantha Jugdev uses homeopathy as an adjunct to her conventional dentistry. She has been using homeopathy for over 14 years. Samantha's studies led to her gaining MFHom(Dent) in 2012, since then she has become part of the homeopathy teaching team at the National Centre of Integrative Medicine, the dental representative on the Faculty of Homeopathy's Members' Committee and the Chariperson of the British Homoepathic Dental Association. She recognises that homeopathy is a personal choice and can discuss with you as an individual the best treatment to meet your needs whether that includes homeopathy or not.

What is homeopathy?

Homeopathy has its origins in ancient history and was developed further by a German doctor Samuel Hahnemann over 200 years ago. Since then it has been widely used across the globe. The theory is based on "like cures like". The process of devising a homeopathic remedy is based on the theory that the method of dilution and agitation or secussion causes a reaction between the ingredient that can originate from animal, mineral, plant or other sources, and the water and alcohol that it is diluted in. Although it is diluted many times it is considered that the homeopathic remedy retains some of the original ingredient. 

Dental uses of Homeopathy

There are many situations when homeopathy can help in the dental setting and this is based on individual needs. For example a lot of people have heard of Arnica and its traditional use for bruising.
